Kenneth MacAlpin
First Scottish king
Kenneth MacAlpin was a ninth-century king who united the Picts and Scots, traditionally regarded as the first King of Scotland.
His reign around 843 CE marks the conventional founding of the Scottish kingdom, though historical details are sparse and partly legendary.
Also known as Kenneth I or Cináed mac Ailpín in Gaelic.
