Boudicca

Iceni tribe queen

Boudicca was a queen of the Iceni, a Celtic tribe in eastern Britain, who led a major uprising against Roman occupation around 60 CE.

Her rebellion destroyed several Roman settlements, including Londinium (London), before being crushed.

She remains a British national symbol of resistance against foreign domination.

Also spelled Boadicea.
