Irish Wolfhound
Tall Irish hound
An Irish Wolfhound is a very large breed of dog, originally bred in Ireland for hunting wolves and elk.
Despite their imposing size—among the tallest of all dog breeds—they are known for a gentle, calm temperament.
The Irish Wolfhound stood nearly three feet at the shoulder.
