Leonberger
Large German dog
A Leonberger is a large breed of dog with a thick, lion-like mane and gentle temperament.
Named after the German city of Leonberg, these dogs were bred to resemble the lion on the town's coat of arms.
They're known as working dogs and family companions, typically weighing over 100 pounds: Our Leonberger thinks he's a lap dog.
