Andre the Giant
Massive French grappler
André the Giant was the ring name of André René Roussimoff (1946–1993), a French professional wrestler and actor whose extraordinary size—nearly seven feet tall and over 500 pounds—made him one of the most recognizable figures in wrestling history.
He headlined WWE events for two decades and appeared in films, most memorably as Fezzik in *The Princess Bride*.
His name invokes larger-than-life physical presence: He ate like André the Giant.
