Hubble Space Telescope

NASA's orbiting eye

The Hubble Space Telescope is a large optical telescope orbiting Earth, launched in 1990 and operated by NASA.

Named after astronomer Edwin Hubble, it captures images of distant galaxies, nebulae, and other celestial objects without atmospheric distortion.

Hubble has provided some of the most detailed views of the universe: The Hubble Space Telescope revealed thousands of galaxies in a single image.
