James Webb
Infrared space observatory
James Webb was an American government administrator who led NASA from 1961 to 1968, overseeing the Apollo program during the Space Race.
His name now appears most often in reference to the James Webb Space Telescope, launched in 2021 as the most powerful space observatory ever built: The James Webb captured images of galaxies formed shortly after the Big Bang.
