Hatshepsut

Egypt's ruling queen

Hatshepsut was a female pharaoh of ancient Egypt who ruled during the Eighteenth Dynasty, around 1479–1458 BCE.

She is notable for assuming the full titles and regalia of kingship, often depicted in statues with a ceremonial beard.

Her reign was marked by ambitious building projects and expanded trade.

After her death, successors attempted to erase her from historical records.
