Hanukkah lights
Eight-night illumination
The candles or oil lamps lit during Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights.
One light is kindled on the first night, with an additional light added each subsequent night until all eight burn on the final evening.
The lights are displayed in a menorah and traditionally placed in windows to publicize the miracle they commemorate.
