Hans Holbein
Hans Holbein refers to two German painters, father and son.
The elder (c. 1465–1524) was a leading late Gothic artist.
The younger (c. 1497–1543) became one of the greatest portraitists in Western art, known especially for his work at the English court of Henry VIII.
When used without qualification, Holbein typically means the younger.
