three-quarter view
Between front, side
A three-quarter view shows a subject from an angle between frontal and profile—typically about 45 degrees off center.
The term appears most often in art and photography, especially portraiture, where this angle reveals depth and dimension while showing most of the face: The painter posed her in three-quarter view.
It's considered more dynamic and flattering than a straight-on shot.
