candid portrait
Caught off guard
A candid portrait is a photograph that captures someone in an unposed, spontaneous moment rather than formally arranged.
The subject may be unaware of being photographed or simply not performing for the camera: The best candid portraits catch people lost in thought or conversation.
The style aims for naturalness over technical perfection.
