Half Dome

Half Dome is a granite rock formation in Yosemite National Park, California, recognizable by its sheer vertical face on one side—as if a dome were sliced in half.
It rises nearly 5,000 feet above Yosemite Valley and is a famous destination for hikers and climbers: We made it to the top of Half Dome before sunset.
