FOV
What eyes capture
FOV is an abbreviation for field of view—the extent of the observable area visible at any given moment.
In video games and virtual reality, FOV settings control how wide the player's perspective appears: I bumped up the FOV to 90 degrees.
A narrow FOV creates tunnel vision; a wide FOV shows more of the surroundings but can distort edges.
The term also appears in photography, optics, and military contexts.
