Experian

Credit reporting agency

Experian is one of the three major credit reporting agencies in the United States, alongside Equifax and TransUnion.

These companies collect financial data on consumers—credit card payments, loans, bankruptcies—and compile credit reports that lenders use to assess creditworthiness: I pulled my Experian report before applying for a mortgage.
