Ethiopians
Horn of Africa natives
Ethiopians are the people of Ethiopia, a country in the Horn of Africa with ancient roots and diverse ethnic groups including the Oromo, Amhara, and Tigray.
The term can refer to citizens, people of Ethiopian descent, or the diaspora community: Ethiopians celebrate their New Year in September.
In classical texts, Ethiopian referred more broadly to dark-skinned Africans south of Egypt.
