Dunedin

New Zealand's Edinburgh

Dunedin is a city at the southern end of New Zealand's South Island, the country's fifth-largest urban area.

Founded by Scottish settlers in 1848, it retains strong Scottish heritage—its name derives from the Gaelic name for Edinburgh.

A smaller Dunedin exists in Florida.

We spent a week exploring Dunedin's Victorian architecture.
