Cypriots

Nicosia's fellow citizens

Cypriots are the people of Cyprus, a Mediterranean island nation divided between Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities since 1974.

The term covers both groups regardless of ethnicity: Greek Cypriots in the south, Turkish Cypriots in the north.

As an adjective, Cypriot describes things relating to Cyprus: Cypriot cuisine, Cypriot politics.
