countrymen
People from home
Countrymen are people from the same country as oneself: He appealed to his countrymen for unity.
The word carries a tone of shared national identity, often appearing in patriotic or formal contexts: Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears.
It can also mean rural people as opposed to city dwellers, though this sense is dated.
