Aspergers
Social processing difference
Asperger's is a developmental condition on the autism spectrum, characterized by difficulties with social interaction and nonverbal communication, often alongside intense focus on specific interests.
People with Asperger's typically have average or above-average intelligence and language skills.
The diagnosis was formally merged into autism spectrum disorder in 2013, though many still use the term as an identity marker: I have Asperger's.
Sometimes shortened to Aspie informally.
