neurotype
Cognitive processing pattern
A neurotype is a category of brain wiring—the particular way someone's nervous system processes information, emotions, and sensory input.
The term arose from neurodiversity discourse, which frames conditions like autism, ADHD, and dyslexia not as deficits but as natural variations: People of different neurotypes may need different accommodations.
Neurotypical describes the most common neurotype; neurodivergent describes those who differ from it.
