neurodivergent

Cognitively non-standard brain

Neurodivergent describes people whose brain function differs from what is considered typical—including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and similar conditions.

The term frames these differences as natural variation rather than deficits: Many tech companies actively recruit neurodivergent employees.

Someone who is not neurodivergent is neurotypical.
