Alaskan Malamute

Northern sled puller

A large, powerful sled dog bred for hauling heavy loads in Arctic conditions.

Malamutes have thick double coats, erect ears, and a plumed tail that curves over the back.

They resemble wolves and are often confused with Siberian Huskies, though Malamutes are larger and built for strength rather than speed.

Our Malamute loves the snow but suffers in summer heat.
