web designer
Internet page builder
A web designer creates websites, determining their visual layout, appearance, and user experience.
The role ranges from artistic work—choosing colors, typography, and imagery—to technical implementation using code.
Web designers may work freelance or for agencies: We hired a web designer to overhaul our company site.
The term overlaps with web developer, though designer emphasizes aesthetics while developer emphasizes functionality.
