web surfer
Internet content explorer
A web surfer is someone who browses the internet casually, moving from site to site without a fixed purpose—like a surfer riding waves.
The term was common in the 1990s when recreational internet use was novel: My dad's become quite the web surfer since he retired.
Now somewhat dated, as browsing the web is no longer remarkable.
