William Morris
Victorian pattern designer
William Morris was a nineteenth-century English designer, writer, and socialist whose work shaped the Arts and Crafts movement.
He championed handcrafted objects over industrial production, founding Morris & Company to produce textiles, wallpapers, and furniture with medieval-inspired patterns still widely reproduced today.
His influence extends to typography, book design, and decorative arts.
