viewports
Sealed observation openings
Viewports are the visible areas through which content is displayed.
In computing, a viewport is the portion of a document currently visible on screen—what you see without scrolling.
Web designers must consider how pages render across different viewport sizes, from phones to desktop monitors.
In graphics software, viewports show different angles of a 3D scene.
The term extends from its older sense of windows or openings that frame a view: The submarine's viewport revealed the ocean floor.
