virtual camera

A virtual camera is a software-simulated camera that generates video output without physical hardware.

In video conferencing, virtual cameras let you use filtered video, screen recordings, or animations as your webcam feed: I used a virtual camera to add a background blur.

In 3D graphics and game engines, virtual cameras define the viewpoint from which a scene is rendered, controlling angle, movement, and perspective as if positioning a real camera in digital space.
