vasopressors

Blood pressure boosters

Vasopressors are medications that constrict blood vessels to raise dangerously low blood pressure.

Used in emergency and critical care settings, they keep vital organs perfused when the body can't maintain adequate circulation on its own: The patient was started on vasopressors after going into septic shock.

Common examples include norepinephrine and epinephrine.
