cardiogenic
Stemming from heart
Cardiogenic means originating in or caused by the heart.
The term appears almost exclusively in medical contexts: cardiogenic shock describes circulatory failure when the heart can't pump enough blood, while cardiogenic pulmonary edema refers to fluid in the lungs resulting from heart dysfunction.
