uncensoring
Lifting content bans
Uncensoring is the act of removing censorship from something previously restricted or redacted.
Where censoring blocks or obscures content, uncensoring reverses that process—restoring deleted passages, revealing blacked-out text, or making suppressed material available again: The archive is uncensoring documents from the Cold War era.
In online contexts, it often refers to removing content filters or restrictions.
