turnery
Spinning wood artistry
Turnery is the craft of shaping wood, metal, or other materials on a lathe, or the products made by this process.
A turnery is also a workshop where such work is done: The old turnery produced chair legs and decorative spindles.
The term covers both the trade and its output—bowls, balusters, tool handles, and similar rounded objects.
