turners
Wood-shaping craft workers
Turners are people or things that turn.
A turner works a lathe, shaping wood or metal by rotating it against a cutting tool.
In cooking, a turner is a flat spatula for flipping food: She used a turner to flip the pancakes.
Turner also describes someone who turns in a particular way: a slow turner, a page-turner. (Capitalized Turners refers to people with the surname Turner.)
