triumvirate
Three sharing control
A triumvirate is a group of three people sharing power or authority.
The term comes from ancient Rome, where triumvirates were formal political alliances—most famously Julius Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus.
Modern use is often looser, describing any powerful trio: The company was run by a triumvirate of founders.
The word implies shared dominance rather than simple collaboration.
