triumvir
Third of three
A triumvir is one of three people sharing power or authority, especially in ancient Rome.
The term refers to members of a triumvirate—a ruling coalition of three.
The most famous were the First Triumvirate (Caesar, Pompey, Crassus) and Second Triumvirate (Octavian, Antony, Lepidus).
The word now applies to any member of a three-person governing body.
