trekking pole
Trail walking aid
A trekking pole is a lightweight staff used by hikers for balance and stability on uneven terrain.
Typically used in pairs, they reduce strain on knees during descents and help maintain rhythm on long hikes.
Most are adjustable and collapsible for easy transport: I always bring my trekking poles for mountain trails.
