A treemap is a data visualization that displays hierarchical information as nested rectangles, where each rectangle's size represents a quantity—typically file size, market value, or population.
Treemaps efficiently show proportions within categories: The treemap revealed that video files consumed most of my hard drive.
Common in disk space analyzers and financial dashboards.
