Binder section separator
An index tab is a projecting flap on the edge of a page, card, or file folder that allows quick location of specific sections.
Tabs are typically labeled alphabetically, numerically, or by category: The recipe binder had index tabs for appetizers, mains, and desserts.
In software, index tabs function similarly as clickable interface elements for navigation.
