stampeders
Cattle in flight
Stampeders are people who participate in a stampede—a sudden rush of animals or people in one direction.
The term most often refers to prospectors who rushed to goldfields during the Klondike Gold Rush of the late 1890s: The stampeders faced brutal conditions on the trail to the Yukon.
In sports, Stampeders is the name of Calgary's Canadian Football League team.
