spareribs

Saucy pork cuts

Spareribs are a cut of pork from the lower portion of the rib cage, with less meat on the bones than back ribs but prized for their rich flavor and tenderness when slow-cooked.

They are a staple of American barbecue, typically prepared with dry rubs or slathered in sauce and smoked or grilled until the meat pulls easily from the bone.

We smoked the spareribs for six hours until they were fall-off-the-bone tender.
