pork belly
Fatty pig cut
Pork belly is a boneless cut of fatty meat from a pig's underside, the same cut used to make bacon.
It became fashionable in American restaurants in the early 2000s, often served braised or roasted: crispy pork belly with apple glaze.
In commodities trading, pork bellies are a futures contract for the frozen cut.
