slotcar
Tiny track vehicle
A slotcar is a miniature electric racing car that runs in a grooved track, guided by a pin or blade that fits into the slot.
The cars are powered through metal strips in the track and controlled by handheld triggers that regulate speed.
Slotcar racing was a popular hobby in the 1960s and remains a niche pursuit: He spent weekends at the slotcar track.
