selfies
Arm's length photos
Selfies are photographs you take of yourself, typically with a smartphone held at arm's length or reflected in a mirror.
The term emerged with front-facing phone cameras and social media sharing.
A selfie stick extends reach for better angles or group shots.
The practice invites both casual documentation and accusations of vanity: Her Instagram is nothing but selfies.
