Calmed by medication
Sedated describes a state of calm induced by sedative drugs, or more loosely, any subdued or tranquil condition.
A sedated patient has been given medication to reduce anxiety or induce sleep before a medical procedure: The dentist kept her sedated during the extraction.
Figuratively, someone sedated seems unusually passive or unresponsive: The audience sat sedated through the lengthy presentation.
