reticule
Lady's small purse
A reticule is a small drawstring handbag, typically made of netted or woven fabric, carried by women in the late 18th and 19th centuries: She tucked her fan into her reticule.
The word comes from the Latin for "little net." In optics, reticule is a variant spelling of reticle—the crosshairs or grid pattern in a telescope or gunsight.
