patroness
Woman who supports
A patroness is a female patron—a woman who supports or sponsors an artist, institution, or cause, typically through financial backing or social influence.
The term appears in historical contexts where gender distinctions in titles were standard: She served as patroness of the charity ball.
Now largely replaced by the gender-neutral patron.
