radiculopathy

Spinal nerve compression

Radiculopathy is nerve root damage or dysfunction, typically where nerves exit the spine.

It causes pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness radiating along the nerve's path—down an arm or leg, for instance.

The MRI confirmed cervical radiculopathy.

Sciatica is the most familiar example, involving lumbar nerve roots.
