myelopathy
Spinal cord disorder
Myelopathy is any disease or disorder affecting the spinal cord.
The term covers a range of conditions that damage or compress the cord, often resulting in weakness, numbness, or coordination problems in the limbs.
Cervical myelopathy, affecting the neck region, is among the most common forms and typically develops from degenerative changes in the spine.
The MRI revealed myelopathy consistent with spinal cord compression.
