carom

Bounce off cushion

A carom is a collision followed by a rebound—originally in billiards, where the cue ball strikes two other balls in succession, but extending to any ricochet: The puck caromed off the goalpost.

As a verb, to carom is to strike and bounce: The car caromed off the guardrail into oncoming traffic.
