projective
Relating to projection
Projective describes something that involves or relates to projection.
In psychology, projective tests like the Rorschach inkblot reveal inner states through how subjects interpret ambiguous images—the assumption being that people project their own thoughts and feelings onto what they see.
In geometry, projective refers to properties preserved under projection from one plane to another: projective geometry, projective space.
More loosely, projective can mean tending to project emotions or intentions onto others or situations.
